Obviously, I haven't yet found much on the MILLER family. Any help in locating more on the parents of Reuben B. or his wife Jennie would be most appreciated.
1. Rueben Barkley MILLER.(1,2,3,4) Born abt 1844 in Ohio to unknown parents both born in Ohio.(2,3) By 1866 he married Jane A. "Jennie" GOWDY,(1,2,3) who was born abt 1844 in New Jersey to unknown parents both born in New York.(2,3) In Aug 1870, the family was living in Piper City, Ford Co., Illinois. At this time their real estate was valued at $3135, and their personal estate at $350. Reuben was working in a Meat Marktet, and Jennie was keeping house.(2) In June 1880, they were in Pella Twp., Ford Co., Illinois, where Reuben was a farmer and Jennie was keeping house.(3)
They had at least four children (possibly more):
2 i. Lorinda Magdalena. (3 Aug 1866 in Iowa - 23 Apr 1930 in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado). Married Joseph William MORELAND (21 Oct 1866 - 16 Jul 1921) abt 1890.
ii. John R.. Born Sep 1869 in Illinois. Attended school in 1880. Died aft Jun 1880.(2,3)
iii. Sylvan. Born abt 1877 in Illinois. Died aft Jun 1880.(3)
iv. Mary. Born May 1880 in Illinois. Died aft Jun 18802(3)
